A number of top fashion models are gay. Whether they've advance out with fanfare or not, many of these women have become Queer icons. Some notable openly same-sex attracted female models work the runway while other accepted lesbian, bi, and gay models are best famous for their ad campaigns. A few of the most famous LGBTQ+ models got their start on America's Next Top Model.

Amber Rose is another famous model who has talked about her fluid sexuality. Freja Beha Erichsen, seen on the cover of many magazines, has never publicly announced that she is gay, but it is well known that she dates women. Chetana Salunkhe, dancer, actor and poet began her journey as a model with Miss. Gaurav pageant in “I contain always been a dancer and an actor, and I simply participated in the pageant for the experience,” she says. The thrill of being on stage, and being competent to express herself individually through her walk and the clothes she wore were some of the things that drew her to modelling. “It helped me learn about myself and come out of my shell. I used to be introverted, but being on the ramp or the camera made me feel free to express myself,” she shares.
