Peoria has a prolonged and rich history. In fact, it was the first European settlement in the state of Illinois, and one of the earliest in the Midwest. The French and British occupied the area for several centuries until the first American settlers initiate farming there around 1819. The area grew fast and experienced a amazing economic and population boom because of its abundance of fertile land and natural resources, and access to the Illinois River. Since its founding, the area has grown steadily. Today, it remains a beautiful river city occupied of diversity, friendly people, plenty of opportunities, and much to see and do.

I even go to the trouble of qualifying my comments but no, I have to clarify them twice because I guess I'm just too nuanced. I said UP TO A POINT. I guess I should've exhaustively listed what constitutes a de facto public shared. A Mall, restaurant (happy now?), a sports stadium, a concert venue, a movie theater, should I go on? And yet, people are thrown out of all of these establishments every day for some reason or other.
FWIW, an owner can indeed throw anyone out of their business as elongated as they don't undertake something stupid like utter it's because you're same-sex attracted or black or whatever. It's just like how police aren't allowed to search you without probable cause; a legal probable cause isn't that difficult to fabricate for the motivated officer. Same goes for business owners.
Perhaps "it doesn't work favor that" on paper, but reality is a distinct story. You weren't thrown out because you're same-sex attracted, or black, or whatever. You were thrown out because you "seemed intoxicated" or were "disrupting other patrons" or something.

As a major city in Illinois, travel to and from Peoria, from both in-state and out-of-state locations, is pretty seamless. So, depending on how you prefer to travel, you have a choice of several options.
Planes: General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport (PIA) is located about six miles west of downtown. With flights from major airlines connecting to cities throughout the U.S., flying is the fastest way to journal to Peoria.
