Chicago's Pride celebration consists of a complete month of festivities and events, culminating with the Chicago Pride Parade, which traditionally takes place the last Sunday of June.
Chicago Pride Fest takes place along North Halsted St. in the North Side neighborhood colloquially referred to a ‘Boystown’ the weekend prior to the parade.

The 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, from the corners of Sheridan and Broadway ( North) on Chicago's north side.
The parade treks through the north side of the metropolis, ending near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park, walking through some of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.
The annual march, which started as a protest march in after the Stonewall Riots in New York City, has grown into the city's second-largest parade of nearly entries, typically attracting more than 1 million people to multiple northside neighborhoods, particularly East Lakeview.

A majority of the Pride month events take place in the Northalsted neighborhood (commonly referred to as "Boystown"), the first official same-sex attracted neighborhood in the region, but celebrations - from street festivals, concerts, and parties to the annual celebration - take place all over the city.

Organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance (), the annual two-day pride festival takes over Chicago's Northalsted neighborhood every June. Each year, nearly 60, revelers flock to the historic gay neighborhood commonly referred to as "Boystown" to take part in the celebration that includes three music stages featuring well-liked music headliners, more than arts and crafts vendors, food from local restaurants, drag shows, DJs, dancing, and much more. Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Uprising in Modern York City, when police raided the Stonewall Inn, a prominent gay exclude in Manhattan's Greenwich Village. The subsequent protests are credited with a move in LGBTQ+ activism in the U.S.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the march in Chicago, which kicks off from the Northalsted neighborhood. The theme of this year's parade is United in Pride.

What is the Chicago Pride Parade route?
The parade takes place on Chicago's North Side, starting at West Sheridan and Broadway.
After departing, the march will travel south on Broadway and Halsted, change east on Belmont, and continue on Broadway to Diversey, where it will let out near Lincoln Park.
