ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The streets of St. Petersburg will be flooded with colors of the rainbow as the 20th annual St. Pete Lgbtq+ fest weekend gets underway from June 24 -
Over , attendees are expected to attend, with a live concert, tons of vendors, and the weekend's biggest event: the pride, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday.

Although the Tampa Bay area is holding festivities for this weekend, The entire month of June is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ society through cultural events, educational programs and advocacy.
Here are some major events that will be happening all weekend long:
St. Pete Coastal Cruises
St. Pete Pride is partnering with St. Pete Coastal Cruises for a Pride boat cruise from now until June Guests will have a limited and unique chance to see the Skyway Bridge lit up in Celebration colors. The Evolution of St. Pete Pride, 20 Years Later
St. Pete doesnt just cast a Pride parade. The city celebrates all of June with LGBTQ+ extravaganzas leading up to the rainbow-sequined finale. But that wasn’t always the case. St. Pete Pride blossomed out of necessity 20 years ago after planning issues and politics place a temporary end to Tampa’s Pride. It was just the beginning.
Before then, St. Pete didn’t include an organized Pride event – or even much of a visible people. In , St. Pete Pride was spearheaded by a small group of local LGBTQ+ folks, such as Brian Longstreth, Identify Bias, and Carrie West, and included a tiny parade.
Today, St. Pete Lgbtq+ fest is a nonprofit and bills itself as Floridas largest LGBTQ+ Pride celebration with mainstream and heavy-hitting sponsors such as the City of St. Pete and Tampa General Hospital lending their support to a month-long celebration. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Lgbtq+ fest is happening now and ABC Action News is bringing you everything you need to know about the festivities.
Over , people have attended the St. Pete Pride Parade in previous years, making St. Pete the biggest identity festival event in the express of Florida.
LGBTQ+ Youth & Family Day
The event starts at 10 a.m. on June 18 at both North and South Straub Park. This is a free event for LGBTQ+ youth, their families, and allies to relish family-focused activities and performances.
Shades of Pride
This event starts at 2 p.m. on June 19 at the Factory. Shades of Event will celebrate the history of Juneteenth. The event is free, but VIP tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
Friday Nighttime Concert
The waterfront concert will be located at Spa Beach-St. Pete Pier Waterfront on June 24 at 4 p.m. Performers contain some of region's foremost LGBTQ+ artists. General admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

The St. Pete Movement Parade will be held at the St. Pete Waterfront on June 25 at 2 p.m. This is a free event. The parade route will run from Vinoy Park to Albert Whitte

For more than 20 years, we’ve marched in rainbow-clad celebration of the spectrum of love and life. What started as a promenade became a parade and then a full Lgbtq+ fest Month. And we now host year-round events to amplify, support, and honor the diverse voices of the LGBTQIA+ community – including the Black, Brown, and Trans voices that too often go unheard.
