Daniel Franzese
Actor Daniel Franzese will forever be remembered as Damian in the original Mean Girls film that debuted in Mean Girls followed the story of a unused student navigating her way in high school and became a phenomenon that grew into a Broadway musical and a musical version inspired by that production released this past January.
Franzese has appeared onscreen in films such as Bully and I Spit on Your Grave among others. On television, he’s worked on ABC’s Conviction and RuPaul’s Secret Icon Drag Race.
His popular podcast tackles religion mixed with comedy and is titled Yass, Jesus!
He’s bringing his stand-up act to Ginger Minj’s Big Gay Cabaret for Pride month.
JN: (Jerry Nunn) What name undertake you go by?
DF: (Danny Franzese) When I am in a film I like to be credited as Daniel, but the rest of the second people know me as Danny.
JN: Are your roots in Brooklyn?
DF: My family is from Italy and Brooklyn. We moved to South Florida when I was in elementary university. It was basically prefer Diet Brooklyn because my family would hang out with other Jewish and Italian New Yorkers in Florida. I was still in a New York bubble even though we were in South F
Get ready to celebrate diversity and equality this Summer as Sefton Pride is set to make a vibrant splash in the heart of Southport!
Victoria Park, an oasis of greenery in Southport, will be transformed into a colourful extravaganza of love, acceptance, and sheer joy this Summer for the first ever Sefton Pride.
The event is free to be present and will take place at Victoria Park in Southport between midday and 6pm on Sunday, 16 July
Visitors can relish music, food and refreshment, family fun, live shows, and more.
It is organism organised by Sefton Self-acceptance CIC which is also organising a Pride pride in Southport that morning for those who want to take part.
Southport resident Jen Corcoran was inspired to organise the event after watching Joe Lycett’s More, More, More! Demonstrate at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool last year.
Part of the fix was dedicated to how Joe Lycett had curated a Pride event in his home town.
He was selling pin badges that said: “Sometimes if you want something to endure, you have to produce it yourself.”
Jen came away from the gig determined to bring an event to her own place town.
